Bobby E. Pearson, Owner and President
Mr. Pearson has been with the company since 1972. He received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1970, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Structural Engineering in Texas (registration number 32345). Mr. Pearson held the position of Structural Engineer and Chief Engineer of Consulting for engineering design firms in Dallas and Tyler before coming to Waco. He was promoted to the position of Planning and Design Engineer for Billington Construction in 1972. In 1974, he began to be more extensively involved in field operations, which included full responsibility for the construction of a $9 million freight terminal and office facility for Central Freight Lines in Houston, Texas. In 1980, Bob assumed presidency of the firm and the overall responsibility for management of all activities with the Billington organization. He finalized ownership of the firm that is presently know as Pearson Construction in 1983.
J. Scott Pearson, Project Manager/Estimator, Business Development and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Pearson is a 1992 graduate of Texas A&M University, and has been with the company for 19 years. After graduation, Scott joined the Billington firm as the project estimator and purchasing agent. In 1996, Scott began to be more involved in local business development and community relations. He is currently active in estimating all phases of construction projects, senior project management, and pre-engineered building sales. In the last eight years Scott has been extensively involved in multiple design/build facilities where he has coordinated design and cost elements between owners and architects.
Rickey L. Henry, Project Manager and Chief Estimator
Mr. Henry is a 1976 graduate of Texas State Technical College, with an Associate Degree of Applied Science in Architectural Drafting and Design. Mr. Henry has been with the company for 35 years. He joined the Billington firm and held the position of project draftsman and designer on many of the company’s design/build projects. Mr. Henry assumed the position of estimator and purchasing agent in 1985. In 1990, he began to be more involved in the project management phase for various construction projects. Mr. Henry is currently responsible for project management, design, and estimating of all types of construction projects.
Kyle Pearson, Purchasing Agent and Safety Director
Mr. Pearson joined the firm in 1995 and is involved in various aspects of the company. In 1998, he became responsible for the management of the firms safety program. Pearson Construction has a superb safety record due to the implementation of a very extensive safety program. Mr. Pearson is also responsible for the implementation of the Storm Water Prevention Program as required by the EPA on most major projects, as well as assisting with purchasing and contract administration.
Mark Denton, Job Superintendent
Mr. Denton is responsible for the coordination, scheduling, review, and processing of all submittals, mock-ups, shop drawings, logs, requests for pricing, and information. He prepares minutes and schedules for weekly Owner, Architect and Subcontractor meetings, as well as actively participating in them. He also coordinates and schedules daily construction activities between all participants associated with the project. Mr. Denton is responsible for expediting and ensuring timely delivery of building components to the job site, and the implementation and tracking of Pearson’s Safety and QA/QC programs. He also actively participates in the weekly subcontractor meetings and safety meetings.
